More than 400 first-year students welcomed to the Baldwin Wallace University campus this fall earned $5.2 million dollars in merit scholarships for their outstanding high school achievements. BW grants a wide range of scholarships to current students each year. Including merit and need-based scholarships, BW students received over $41 million in financial support from the University for the 2016-2017 academic year.

John Carroll University's Panhellenic Council is among 39 College Panehellenic Associations recognized for achievement by the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC).
More than 500 Buffalo State students presented their own research or creative work at the annual Student Research and Creativity Celebration held on campus in April 2016. Students from many academic disciplines including art, business, education, science, and technology explained their work using posters or presentations. Gallery and performance space was allocated to students in the performing and visual arts.
Buffalo State held its annual Arthur O. Eve Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Honors Convocation on May 5. The convocation recognizes students who have achieved a 3.0 GPA during the spring or fall 2015 semester as well as students who have a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
